  • questionable business practices

    I received an unsolicited call from VPS about 1 year ago. At the time I didn't want to make any change in my timeshare ownership. Over the past year the sales persons has call several times. I decided I was at the point I wanted to sell when VPS called again the week of 1/16/11. The sales person was very helpful and enthusiastic. She went thru all aspects of the sale price and recovering my maintainence fees and who covers the costs of title search, etc. When all was said and done and I agreed to go thru with the process she asked how I would like to cover the $599.00.   • Bad Experience

    In July ‘09, I received a phone call from Mr. Sweeney of Vacation Property Services. For the payment of $599, he would rent my unused Wyndham timeshare weeks. He said these properties were in great demand as his company uses them to sell timeshares on the resale market. When a renter buys a timeshare interval, the rental price is credited to the purchase price. I told him I wasn’t interested. He then offer to cut the price to $299.   • real or fraud?

    I was called by Vacation Property Services stating that they had buyers for my Florida timeshare which had been in their inventory since 2004. After a few calls, back and forth, between myself, the Vacation Property representative, and the alledged buyers, I was assured of the sale. I was told that 'closing costs' needed to be paid for before the sale could proceed. Very eager to rid myself of the property, I 'payed' #2249.00.
